Email Finder API

Kendo Email Finder API

Most email finder APIs return a business email and stop there. Kendo returns business email, personal email, and direct dial in a single lookup — no stitching, no second vendor.

Powered by 150M personal emails and 12M verified direct dials.

Why Kendo's data model wins

Three arguments engineers actually evaluate before wiring an enrichment API into production.

The data others don't have at scale

Business emails bounce. InMail has limits. The contact data that actually starts conversations — personal email and direct dial — is what most enrichment APIs don't have.

Kendo's dataset includes 150 million personal emails and 12 million direct dials. Verified contact data returned as a first-class field in every applicable response.

Direct dial without the Apollo asterisk

Phone coverage is where stacks usually fracture: Hunter exposes no dial data; Apollo ships numbers only on higher tiers with uneven coverage.

Kendo returns direct_dial alongside business and personal email whenever we have it — on every plan. Your product story becomes "reach the person," not "reach the desk phone if the plan allows."

✓ 12M direct dials returned in the same response as email. Hunter has none. Apollo's coverage is limited to select tiers.

More signal per dollar

Hunter's entry pricing buys business email only. Apollo bundles personal email but still gates phones. Kendo starts at $14/mo when billed annually ($17/mo month-to-month) while returning all three contact types in the same response tier.

For teams embedding lookups in multi-tenant products, lower per-credit cost plus richer payloads compounds: fewer vendor reviews, less integration debt, and a stronger story for your customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from developers evaluating the API.

How is Kendo different from Hunter or Apollo's API?
Three things. Data coverage: Hunter returns business email only — no personal email, no direct dial. Apollo adds personal email but phone coverage is limited to higher tiers. Kendo returns all three contact types across all plans. Bulk leads: Apollo requires individual lookups per contact; Kendo offers /companyleads to return a full list in one call. Price: Kendo starts at $14/mo (annual) vs Hunter at $34/mo and Apollo at $49/mo.
Do I need a credit card to get started?
No. Sign up, retrieve your API key, and start making real calls immediately. Every new account includes 50 free credits, no credit card required. When you're ready to scale, choose a plan.
How does credit billing work?
Credits are only deducted when a lookup returns results. If a person isn't in our database and we return no data, you aren't charged. When results are returned: 1 credit per email, 5 credits per phone number.
How are credits counted when both an email and phone number are returned?
Each data type has its own cost: 1 credit per email returned, 5 credits per phone number returned. If a lookup returns both a business email and a direct dial, you're charged 6 credits total. If no data is returned, you pay nothing.
How do I authenticate?
Retrieve your API key from the Integration menu in your account settings. Pass it as a bearer token per request. No OAuth flow, no additional setup — just HTTPS JSON.
Can I look up contacts by profile URL?
Yes. The /emailbysocial endpoint accepts a professional profile URL and returns the associated contact information — business email, personal email, and direct dial. Particularly useful for recruiting workflows.
Can I pull a full list of contacts at a company from a single API call?
Yes. The /companyleads endpoint takes a company domain and returns a list of contacts. /companyleadsinfo returns enriched detail on each result. No other major email finder API offers this in a single endpoint.
